How do I change file permissions (CHMOD)?

CHMOD is a method to change file permissions. It operates with the terms OWNER, GROUP and OTHERS which you can grant READ, WRITE or EXECUTION access.

The easiest way to change file permissions is to use your FTP program. Most contain a dialog similar to this:

tl_files/images/chmod.png

For MiniGal Nano to display thumbnails and images correctly, you must give owner and others at least READ permission (CHMOD 404)
